- Students have knowledge of making static websites. They are able to create simple web pages. They know fundamentals of HTML and CSS.

- Course contents:
1. Static and dynamic pages, web technologies -- HTML and XHTML, creation of html documents (allowance 1/2) 2. XHTML: structure of XHTML document (head, body) (allowance 1/2) 3. XHTML: text, links, numbered and unnumbered lists (allowance 1/2) 4. XHTML: graphics, tables (allowance 1/2) 5. XHTML: forms (methods, form elements, attributes), evaluation of form data (allowance 1/2) 6. XHTML: frames, applets, servlets (allowance 1/2) 7. CSS: introduction to formatting using cascade styles (allowance 1/2) 8. CSS: colour, font, alignment, links (allowance 1/2) 9. CSS: numbered and unnumbered lists, borders, background (allowance 1/2) 10. CSS: classes and identifiers (allowance 1/2) 11. Practical webdesign: planning, design (effective navigation, colours, text, graphics, animations), publishing, maintenance (allowance 1/2) 12. Google - search, Gmail, YouTube, Picasa, Blogger, Talk, Earth, Maps (allowance 1/2) 13.
