On Thursday, 15th of February, Dr. Radoslav Paulen led a short course on Exact and Approximate Set-based Parameter Estimation for Nonlinear Systems within the winter school on Modelling, Estimation, and Control using Set-Based Methods: Theory and Applications (Set4MOST). The winter school was organized at Lille Centrale jointly by Dr. Sara Ifqir (Centrale Lille, France),  Prof. Andreas Rauh (Carl von Ossietzky Universität Oldenburg, Germany), and Dr. Simon Rohou (ENSTA Bretagne, France). The 28th International Student Conference on Electrical Engineering will be held on May 23, 2024, at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, CTU Prague. The authors will register for the Conference by submitting either an extended abstract (2 pages) or a full paper (4 pages) according to their preferences. Authors may specify if they do not wish their extended abstracts published. Authors of work published elsewhere may participate without the possibility of publication in the Conference Proceedings and participation in the Best Poster Award Competition. Such authors are invited to contact the Organizing Committee. Detailed information is on the conference homepage.

On January 12, Dr. Ľuboš Čirka successfully defended his habilitation thesis. As part of the defense, Ing. Ľuboš Čirka delivered the habilitation lecture on the topic: "Database system NORMAN: collection and evaluation of data on emergent substances in the environment". We congratulate and wish him a successful presentation at the Scientific Council of FCHPT STU!
