Our PhD student Michaela Horváthová was awarded the prestigious award "Student Personality of the Slovak Republic" in the academic year 2020/2021 in the category "Electrical engineering, industrial technologies". She was also awarded a special award "JCI-Slovakia Award for emphasis on ecology in the field". Congratulations!

Our APVV project Optimal Control for Process Industries (PI: M. Fikar) was selected among best for 2021 in technical sciences financed by the Grant Agency APVV. It is listed in the publication Excellence in Science 2021.

On January 18, 2022, the President of the Slovak Republic Zuzana Čaputová appointed 33 new university professors. We are proud that our colleague Michal Kvasnica was appointed as a Professor in the field of Automation. Congratulations!

Lenka Galčíková - Juraj Oravec: Fixed complexity solution of partial explicit MPC

The paper presents a novel Partial Explicit MPC design method. The publisher Elsevier provides open access to new research articles for 50 days to help share the current results.

Anwesh Reddy Gottu Mukkula – Michal Mateáš – Miroslav Fikar – Radoslav Paulen: Robust multi-stage model-based design of optimal experiments for nonlinear estimation

The paper presents a new technique for the robust design of optimal experiments on nonlinear systems. The paper is a partial result of the collaboration of our institute with Technische Universität Dortmund. The publisher Elsevier provides open access to new research articles for 50 days to help sharing the current results.

PhD student from IAM Ing. Martin Mojto participated in a workshop on Big & BioData Analysis and Processing (BiBiDAP) on 29.07.2021. This workshop was intended for data analysis and processing using various mathematical and statistical methods. Martin Mojto presented the topic of data-based inferential sensor design for the petrochemical industry.
