Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The main aim of this course is to give basic knowledge about optimization of processes and plants.Process (Plant) optimization is the discipline of adjusting a process (plant)so as to optimize some specified set of parameters. The most common goals are minimizing cost, maximizing throughput, and/or efficiency.
Course contents:
1. Application of optimization methods to solve problems in the optimization of process control. (allowance 8/8)
2. Optimization methods of one-variable functions. Optimization methods for functions of several variables. (allowance 8/8)
3. Optimization methods without restrictive conditions optimization methods with restrictive conditions.
